| ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT When Bayou Vermilion District was formed, the founders wrote a detailed master plan (available at the Public Library). This master plan laid out an ambitious strategy for increasing economic development on along the Bayou Vermilion. One of these projects -- Vermilionville -- was established in 1990.
